The Dead Rabbit
Founded in 2013, we’ve continued to grow and evolve over the last decade.
From our beginnings as a Grocery & Grog with a 70-page cocktail menu and a focus on traditional music and 18th-century punches, our mission today is to proudly showcase the Emerald Isle and the talented people who call it home.
We work with Irish brewers, distillers, artists, musicians, writers, and more, flying the flag for contemporary Ireland from our bars in New York City, Austin, and Washington D.C.
At all of our locations, our commitment is to your shelter and refuge, nourishment and merriment, and above all, to ensuring that you leave happier than when you arrived. Everyone is included, and no one is excluded. From wherever you’ve traveled, Welcome to The Dead Rabbit, Welcome Home.
Built in 1828, 30 Water Street was a run-down five-story townhouse located on a historic block notable for one thing – every business that opened on it had failed. And yet, it was perfect. Or, it could be. A ground floor for the Taproom, a first floor for The Parlor, and a third floor for events and private functions. It was all there.
