Inspired by childhood trips to Belgium, and a genuine love for beer, owner Jon Carisch took an opportunity to pursue a dream. With over 20 years of experience in the industry Jon figured it was time to open his own place in a town that had been a home for him his entire life. That dream became a reality when we opened our doors in July of 2014.

Providing delicious beverages, pub style comfort food, and entertaiment from it’s staff, the Thirsty Belgian Bar & Kitchen has become a triple threat. Having smaller-sized space gives us a perfect opportunity to be cozy and intimate. 8 tables and a 15 spot bar can fill up fast but we always have a good time!

We’ve delared ourselves “Rochester’s Nerdiest Bar”……where else in Rochester can you listen to both Guardians of the Galaxy soundtracks back to back, play Ms. PacMan, watch cult classic movies all day, AND dress up to celebrate May the 4th? Plus on Sunday’s (and sometimes Monday’s) September-January, we bring the Wisconsin to all the Packer fans that now call Rochester home. Being the only offically registered Packer bar in SE MN we do it right- beer brats, PBR, and a resounding “Go, Pack, Go!” makes any cheesehead feel happy and at home. We won’t turn you away for liking a different team….our GM’s husband is a Seahawks fan… but we believe football is for famliy and family is what we do best.
