Tin Tea is a AAPI and woman-owned business that celebrates cultural heritage and community connection. Our founder, Chau Truong, embarked on her entrepreneurial journey in 2019 during her sophomore year at St. Olaf College, transforming a passion for sharing her family’s culinary traditions into a thriving local business. In May 2024, Chau graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and a concentration in management, bringing her academic insights and personal vision together to create more than just a tea shop.

Deeply rooted in her family’s approach to love and care, Chau was raised with a powerful understanding that food is a profound language of connection. Her parents instilled in her the belief that nourishing others is a way of expressing love, compassion, and cultural pride. Inspired by these values, she opened Tin Tea – a bubble tea and Vietnamese cuisine shop that goes beyond serving delicious beverages and meals. Her mission is to create a welcoming space that gives back to the community, bridging cultures and creating meaningful connections through every carefully crafted drink and dish.
